All you need to know about the NMAT Exam

GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) conducts a computer-based entrance exam, NMAT (Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude Test) for admission to a broad range of management programs offered by the institute. An applicant must be a graduate with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA for being eligible to give the exam. You can take the test up to a maximum of three times with a gap of at least 15 days between two successive attempts.

The exam will be held from October 5th to December 18th, 2017 and results will be declared in the 3rd week of January 2018. Once the NMAT cut-off 2018 is declared, shortlisted candidates will appear for Group Discussion (GD) or Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview rounds conducted by participating institutes, based on three sections, similar to CAT, as follows:

  1. Logical Reasoning [120 Marks]
  2. Language Skills [96 Marks]
  3. Quantitative Techniques [144 Marks]

OVERALL: 360 Marks

 

The distribution of weightages attached to different components used to prepare the composite merit list of NMIMS applicants are as follows:

  • NMAT Score – 70%
  • Group Discussion – 10%
  • Personal Interview – 10%
  • Academic Performance – 5%
  • Work Experience – 5%

Create an account on nmat.org.in for the registrations that will take place from July 4th, 2017 to October 3rd, 2017. You have to register and pay for the NMAT by GMAC™ exam before scheduling a test date and location.

Candidates are required to visit respective university/college/school website for details of their admission procedure. Their respective forms need to be submitted separately.
